Backing Tracks - Checkout Options

At the checkout, you are presented with 3 options for payment. Here are the 3 options - the text underneath each option box gives a fuller explanation of each.

Worldpay
Payments made through this option are processed online and authorized manually. MP3's can be downloaded when full card authorization is complete (anywhere between 15 minutes and 12 hours). CD and Minidiscs will be dispatched within 24 hours. Accepts: Visa - Mastercard - Visa Delta - Visa Electron - Switch - Amex - Delta - Diners - JCB - Solo - Laser - Eurocard.

Description:
When you pay by Worldpay, Worldpay request the funds from your card issuer. If there are sufficient funds available on the card to pay for your purchases, the funds are then "reserved" against that card until we can make further manual security checks to ensure that you are the genuine card holder and are properly authorized to use that card. These additional manual security checks can take anywhere between 15 minutes and 12 hours. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with information regarding the exact security parameters we use because it is important that we protect the details of this operation to make it as difficult as possible for fraudsters to circumvent the system, however, we can reveal that, in addition to these security checks, the time it takes for full card authorization to complete can also depend on the type of card you have used to order, the type of transaction, and the quality of the information you have supplied to us on your order form. Using an anonymous email address like hotmail or Yahoo, using a different name from the name on the card, using a different address to which the card statements go, using a card issued in a different country from the country your making the order from, missing out information on the order form like a zip/post code, a telephone number or entering a cell / mobile phone number instead of a landline number etc all delay the security checking process.

PayPal
Payments made through this option are processed and authorized online. MP3's can be downloaded immediately. CD and Minidiscs will be dispatched within 24 hours. Accepts: Visa - Mastercard - Amex - Maestro/Switch - Switch - Solo - Visa Delta - Visa Electron.

Description:
By far, this is the quickest option for payment and track delivery. When you pay by Paypal, you can download tracks immediately after your order has been processed and payment has been received, which is usually within seconds of ordering (instant download). The reason this can be done instantly without having to wait for the additional manual security checks that are done when ordering by Worldpay (above) is because if you have a verified Paypal account, then Paypal have already done all the exhaustive checks on the card you are using so there is no delay in obtaining full authorization of the payment - which means we can send the download links to you immediately after you've paid (Paypal send the money from your Paypal account to our Paypal account as soon as you make the order which in turn notifies our download area to send you the download link to download your tracks immediately). The only time this system changes is when you choose to pay be a Paypal echeque. If you are paying by echeque, this usually means you do not have a debit or credit card attached to your Paypal account and have probably set it up with a bank account only. If this is the case, then you will have no money in your Paypal account to pay for your purchases so Paypal need to go to your bank, request the funds, then send them to us. All this takes time (usually a few days). We will of course send your download links as soon as your echeque has cleared and payment has been received but in the meantime, if you find yourself in this position, contact Paypal and they should be able to estimate how long it will take for the payment to get to us. If you are in a hurry for tracks and the echeque is going to take too long to clear, you could consider re-ordering and paying by credit/debit card using the Worldpay option at the checkout - download links will be sent immediately full card authorization is completed (usually between 15 minutes and 12 hours depending on your card).

Manual Payment
Payments made through this option are processed manually. Payment by UK Cheque and UK Postal Order are accepted. MP3's, CD's & Minidiscs are dispatched upon receipt of payment and processing (1 day for non-crossed Postal Orders and 3 - 5 days for cheques).

Description:
This is the slowest method of paying, especially if you send a cheque or a crossed postal order. A cheque or crossed postal order will usually take a couple of days to get to us and a further 3 - 5 business days to clear. We do not release backing tracks until we have received payment for them so you cannot download tracks until your cheque or PO has cleared. As a rough guide, you can expect download links to be sent to you around a week to 10 days after ordering when you pay by cheque or crossed postal order. It's a little bit quicker if you pay by an uncrossed postal order - we can cash an uncrossed postal order the same day it arrives, therefore send the download links that same day so you should have your tracks 2 or 3 working days after ordering. These are only rough guides - factors which can also affect this are the time it takes for you to send your cheque or postal order to us after you make your order, the time it takes for the Royal Mail to deliver your cheque or postal order to us, and finally, how long it will take to cash/clear.
