Biography Witchhazel are the U.K.'s
leading acoustic-roots show band. They are able to combine
the fire and excitement of bluegrass and traditional Irish
material with the sophistication of jazz to delight audiences
in any environment. Beautiful four part harmonies are a
popular feature of each performance.
The
band has performed to acclaim in venues ranging from pubs
and clubs to festivals, corporate events and gala evenings
such as the Wooden Spoon Society's annual charity event
at the Park Lane Hilton. Both in the U.K. And abroad their
virtuosity, exciting style and professionalism has led to
repeat bookings wherever they go.
Equipment Witchhazel are fully self
contained with top flight PA, microphones and amplifiers.
All instruments played are handmade and/or vintage including
John's oversize 1886 double bass, Ben's custom Gibson J200
guitar and Les's custom Oakwood 10 string cittern. These stunning
instruments are as appealing visually as they are musically
and reflect the professional ethos of the band.
